Satan's Harvest Review
Step right up ladies and gentlemen, this is the one I've been waiting for, this book had me from the get go, I've seen the documentary on Maurice Theriault , on northern mysteries!
It had be paying attention , but then I got the book Satan's Harvest by Michael Lasalandra and Mark Merenda with Maurice and Nancy Theriault and I got excited.
I could not put it down, from learning about Maurice's childhood bullied at school and abused at home, the poor kid could not catch a break .
His father made him quit school at a young age and work the farm with him , where He would get beatings from him If he got lippy with his dad or didn't do his work hard enough.
Then there was the implied bestiality his father partook in ( yeah umm , not what i wanted to hear about , but it is what it is .
The book also talks about Maurice's several marriages , his seeming teleport and be in two places at the same time.
Maurice would go in a trance , and then wouldn't remember what he said or did, according to Ed and Lorraine Warren they noticed Maurice speaking in a different language other than French Canadian which appeared to be strange.
He talked of dreaming of his father killing his mother and then himself and then hearing his vision was right.
At one point he started to behave strangely during the exorcism performed on him and an upside down cross appeared on his body.
This has all the makings of a good horror novel , but it's all in fact true and frightened Lorraine .
I highly recommend this book, as it is one other than Amityville that first got me interested in Ed and Lorraine and their work.
